Sammy Lamb is a Los Angeles based, independent, non-fiction filmmaker working in the mediums of animation & live action. Lamb’s films highlight underrepresented lives on the edge of being forgotten; sewing together narratives of her subjects using unearthed archival material & contemporary interviews conducted with loved ones who still carry the memory of the subject. Tapestries of letters, diaries, postcards, news clippings; fragmented ephemera reanimated into a living archive grounded by source interviews and haptic soundscapes, recalling sensory memory.
